I'm not going to elaborate THAT much, but wanted to show some of the stats from recently of GOR. There are a few techniques that we've been using to market the website, and as you can see, they're working.
Stupidly, and many websites have this issue, we were not registered properly with some of the major search engines. Some we weren't registered at all with. As of late, Google and Search Live have been huge for this website. Many websites - in fact the percentage of them that don't register is 85% of all websites on the internet. Pretty amazing isn't it? As I've written, I'd be happy with say 2,000 unique visitors, but we're approaching a consistency of an average of much much higher.
Alexa, which is a website that tracks the progress of websites has us ranked on a three month average at 672,803rd of all websites in the World. The 1 week average is at 429,675th. Alexa is used commonly by entities that are looking to advertise. Advertisers that spend a lot of money look at more than Alexa, but its a popular tool that's looked at to determine whether or not to actually spend money with a website.
To put that into some sort of perspective, the below graphic is the ALEXA for this week of KTRS-AM 550 in St. Louis. KTRS airs the Cardinals in St. Louis, which is by far the most popular sport here.
God Of Radio was down for a few months. Below is a graph of the growth since it came back online.
Its great to see the website working so well after all the work that goes into it. Its truly my passion now. With the growth should come some advertising, which will come with consistency. I've outlined in the advertising section a special if a client signs up within the month of July. EVERYTHING is HALF if you sign up this month, essentially. You can have three months of insane advertising on the show, the site, and the forums. Its extremely affordable and I'd be tickled pink to have you.
That's our World map of visitors for the past week. Its pretty cool to look at sometimes. You should see the entire breakdown of where people are coming from. Very odd. We had 500 unique visitors from Pakistan this week alone. Ha! WHY??
Thanks for all the compliments on the new forums! I've addded MANY new boards in the past 2 days. I want to add more and am asking for your suggestions. If you have any, please by all means go over and let me know what you think would work.
I've never in my life seen more of an intricate forum. It has every little thing you could imagine. It has many functions for the staff, but it has a TON of various things for the members to do as well. I am still finding new things as a user, so you could imagine how many cool things there are in the creation process. I've been looking at hundreds of forums, and that has helped me determine what I think will work and what won't work. I've looked and looked and have yet to see any forum that focuses on the art of doing a talk show. I still can't get over that. Although the forum doesn't focus only on that, it does have an entire section devoted for radio hosts of any kind. If you come to this website and host a radio show, whether its on BLOG TALK RADIO OR NOT, you should sign up. It will only be an invaluable tool if people sign up and use it for what its there for!
I've developed the forums with almost every taste in mind. There is a section for damn near anything. I have other ideas and am debating on whether to pull the trigger now or wait. I dunno. We'll see.

This is the final forum. I am not getting another one. So if you're like, "Well, the son of a bitch has had 30 forums and I aint signing up for another one..." - I know, I know, I know. We have the license for one year, and in a few months, I am going to purchase another few. It aint going anywhere and we don't have to worry about anyone deleting the board, cuz we own it! PERIOD. I'm just as tired of switching as anyone. Believe dat homie.
The American broadcast industry is rocked, realigned and blasted into a new orbit, yet again, by Rush Limbaugh, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
In what is being described as an unprecedented radio contract, Limbaugh will keep his syndicated show on-the-air and e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e through 2016 with CLEAR CHANNEL and PREMIERE RADIO.
Already host of the most lucrative hours since radio's inception, Limbaugh's total package is valued north of $400 million, according to media insiders.
The NEW YORK TIMES will claim this weekend that Limbaugh, marking 20 years this summer as a national host, has secured a 9-figure signing bonus for the new deal.
In its controversial profile, the TIMES reports that Limbaugh is buying a new G550 jet and is making an estimated $38 million a year.
Radio people.
When this was announced, many radio people sprung to action behind their false/fake names on the internet slamming Rush Limbaugh. Many of them barked that he isn't worth that kind of money and that he should pay to be able to do what he does and...and...and on and on and on and . . .
Please.
Rush Limbaugh is FANTASTIC at what he does. I don't listen all the time and am not the biggest fan of his show. That's because I am not in love with politics, but the man knows what he's doing. He is an excellent broadcaster. EXCELLENT broadcaster. He's an automatic winner. If you're the PD of a conservative talker, you put him on almost without even thinking about it. He should absolutely get that money! The amount of money he brings to the table could feed half the population on Earth, and I am only half kidding! He is a money making machine.
If there's a host out there that doesn't deserve the money, its Stern. Don't get me wrong, I personally am a fan of Howard, but he is one bitter, old bastard to be doing what he's doing. Also, a radio host that's getting THAT kind of money should have a big audience. Comparatively speaking, he has a miniscule audience to what he once had on terrestrial radio. Also, in my opinion he has too much power with Sirius. He can sway some pretty big opinions within that building about who gets work and who doesn't. I don't think that bodes well with syndicated radio show, OPIE AND ANTHONY. They are one of the few shows who are on the air in many markets on terrestrial radio AND ALSO do a show on satellite radio that are seeing success. Howard shot himself in the foot, and COULD have done that but now would appear to be a sell out if he did so. He knows that and I am sure kicks himself in the ass when he hears about someone else doing it. I KNOW HE DOES - TRUST ME!
Personally I wish he'd have stayed in regular radio. He is someone who could have fought and won, but he gave up due to A) pressure B) money and C) the corporate infrastructure at Sirius Satellite Radio.
People can't afford a gallon of gas or a cup of coffee, I am sure satellite radio hasn't been budgeted in these days. Good for Rush Limbaugh by the way!
At some point, we must all ban together and make this stop. It truly must stop. I cannot stand it any longer. I can no longer even visit you tube. Without fail, I visit YOU TUBE only to be looking for a Bush Gets Heckled video or a McCain Calls His Wife a C*nt video only to be duped into watching something that turns out to be someone singing. They even - somehow - make the most viewed videos of the day.
I have made a petition for us to encourage these deaf mutes to stop the madness. I BEG you top sign it!
