THINK HARDER!
Kramer
A few weeks ago, Christy(wife) and I were walking around a mall, and I saw a
huge store with scooters in it. We looked at them and
I thought some of them looked pretty cool. When I got home I looked them up online. The first thing I saw was their gas mileage. These
things get an average of about 110 miles per gallon. Its unbelievable. We live in New Town, MO.
See that here. See how cool it is
over here? Something like that would be perfect for travel within this community.
I spoke to John from MidWest Motorsports yesterday
about us trading out some advertising for a scooter. MidWest was onboard as an advertiser last year about this time. They always had
a good response from the ads, and we loved having them on as a client. Hopefully we're going to be able to work something out. I know,
I know: FAT GUY + SCOOTER = COMEDY GOLD and yeah, I'll be sure to snap plenty of pictures so you can see me looking cool.
Laugh all
you want, the gas prices are getting higher and higher and higher. There seems to be no relief in sight either. In fact, President
Bush just a few months ago when told that gas prices were on their way toward $4 per gallon responded, "Well I haven't heard that
yet."
Um, how could you NOT have HEARD THAT YET?
On the forum:
What are the craziest gas-saving tips you've heard?

CYPRESS, Calif. (AP) - Violence broke out at the gas pumps in Orange County. Police say a La Palma doctor waiting in line to buy gas at the Costco warehouse store in Cypress grabbed a tire iron and confronted a motorist who cut into the line.
Sgt. Tom Bruce said the doctor was arrested and booked for investigation of brandishing a deadly weapon in a rude, angry or threatening manner, a misdemeanor.
Witnesses told police the doctor was in line at the pumps Monday evening when another vehicle cut in front of him. When the doctor confronted the motorist with a tire iron, the other driver locked himself in his car and called police.
"Fire In The Hole"
Florida...Florida...Florida....
As I get older, my finding things like this funny dwindles so so so very far in to the abyss it isn't,
well, funny. Some teens recently in FL got caught up in the latest crazy, "Fire IN THE HOLE". Well someone didn't run quick enough
from the FIRE and got burned. The object of this lil game is to go to a fast food restaurant, order some drinks, and when the server
gives it to you, shout "FIRE IN THE HOLE" and throw it at the person. (We've included a nice little compilation above.)
Well, a Judge
didn't think it to be funny either and has ordered the kids make ANOTHER video of their apology to put on Youtube.

here for
the YOU TUBE APOLOGY.
That was about the weakest and lamest apology I've ever seen. It was like they were trying to sound crappy. I would have locked them up for crappy acting.
Can you imagine what it would be like to operate a daycare where its all women that are PMSing? Here's what you do. BUILD A FORUM.
Now, before I say this what I'm about to say, I have to preface it with, my forum people are my Brethren and Sistren. A LOT of them
have put up with a LOT from me. I'm not the easiest person in the World to get along with. I know that. Having said that, they are
some of the whiniest and bitchiest people I've ever had the pleasure to know. I'm going to use this opportunity to pick on them, answer
a question, and have a little fun.
Some of the members were asking why I missed the show the other day. I wrote:
The guy who I had planned as a guest had to bail at the last minute.
When I have a guest I don't really prep that much except for the guest. It just didn't make sense for me to hop on with nothing at all planned.
My apologies everybody.
Then here it comes: "TMUSS WRITES":
When Brennen has a guest cancel (and he does) I never hear KMOX go silent. When Milhaven has a
guest cancel (and he does) I never hear KTRS go silent.
Really trying to understand what you are trying to do here Kramer but I just
don't get it. Reliability and dependability are at least as important as talent and content to succeed. In anything, not just radio.
Too many folks out of work right now willing to show up every day to sluff off and expect to get what you want.
Then I had to be a smart ass:
I appreciate that concern and the great words of wisdom TMUSS, I really do. Milhaven and the aforementioned crew get paid about $100,000 yearly to have that back up. I do it for free for YOU and because I enjoy it. So if you'd like to pay me even HALF that amount, I can promise you everyday RIGHT AT THE SCHEDULED TIME, you'll hear SOMEthing whether a guest shows or not.
How's THAT?
I don't see any contracts in my mailbox or any checks coming to be signed for yet TMUSS.
HE WRITES:
I think you are mistaking bitching for honest input, something that you have several times asked for.
There is a reason that Milhaven gets a decent wage...he shows up and earns it. You have the cart before the horse. Prove yourself worthy of the wage first and the wage will come. Not from me of course, I'm not a radio show owner.
And BTW, no words of wisdom here, just common sense facts of life. People get what they are worth...if they are lucky...but never get more than they're worth for very long.
And speaking of bitching. You bitch when no one posts enough on your forum or calls your show enough, yet when someone does respond with something not completely flattering you complain. Can't have it both ways. Do you want honest, open input or not? Or would your rather have a few groupies giving you bad suggestions/advice, recommendations/etc. just to keep their nose up your ass. How well has that worked for Brittany Spears so far? Your call .
I can't please everyone all of the time...sorry. In fact, I have not gotten a THANK YOU or a "JOB WELL DONE" since the rebirth of
www.godofradio.com, however, if something is late or sub par, I HEAR ABOUT IT. When I say "I HEAR ABOUT IT", I mean I get PMs on the
message boards, emails, and everything short of people showing up at my door asking me what's up. I LOVE input. I do not - HOWEVER
- care to hear whining about something so insignificant. I am glad he enjoyed the show enough to get pissed that it wasn't on. That's
flattering in and of itself, and TMUSS, I am not mad. I was just having fun, but you have to understand that I AM doing all of this
for free and sometimes it isn't possible to fulfil every commitment that I have around my house, Christy's shop, my son, my wife,
our lives, the website, the forum, growing my own business, getting a job, getting a radio job part time, etc. The list goes beyond
even THAT.
I want to say something personally to the forum members and to the average reader, and this is key if you're new and are
going to "GET" what I write sometimes.
I'm an average guy with an average, perhaps lower than average intelligence. I happen to have
a radio background and have become good at that one thing. I don't buy into any of my own press anymore, and I try to just be real
as possible. Do *I* bitch and moan? Sure. Life. Do I get mad and stupid? Sure, lots of times. TMUSS was right, I BITCH all the time.
Its par for the course on forums anyway. Nothing will ever be written that isn't true and genuine. I DO NOT try to sugar coat stuff. I
don't act like everything is fine when its not. You will always know where I stand. That will correlate with advertising as well.
I won't put up ads that I don't believe in.
A lot of bloggers and radio hosts try to glam up how they are in order to make themselves
look a certain way. It should be obvious by now that I do not subscribe to that modern way of thinking. Right? Its not that I flat
out do not care of what certain people think, its just that it isn't worth it to worry about it all the time. We need more of that
in the World. In my opinion, we went to WAR because of a man who thought unless he did it, people would have thought less of him.
I don't want to live like that. So in summation, when soemthing is on my mind, I say it. If I get in your face, don't think less because
I went down to someone's level. I am a HUMAN BEING...most days.
One New York man's Memorial Day fun ended when police pulled him over while he was driving his motorized cooler.
Leslie J. "Bomber" Marr, 57, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after the police saw him swerving on the street and driving on the sidewalk in his "Cruzin Cooler," Whitehall Police Chief Richard LaChapelle told the Post Star newspaper.
Marr's electric-powered cooler was filled with 14 beers and has room for 24 cans and ice.
Cruzin Cooler combines two basic necessities of life, the ability to have cold food or a beverage handy along with the means to get somewhere, without walking. With modern technology, the Cruzin Cooler is light-weight and comes in various sizes and colors and is available in gas and electric models, with a 10 mile range on electric models and 30 miles on the gas models.
The cooler is light enough to be driven to a location and then picked up and carried. The cooler can be used for hunting, sporting events, races, camping, golf or even a trip to the grocery store to keep your food cold all the way home. Marine use will be popular for the new cooler allowing you to take your fish/drinks/food/ ice to and from your boat with powered assistance and braking. Simply ride or power your way up and down ramps.
There are virtually hundreds of uses for the new coolers with thoughts of racing coolers not far behind!
