The Daily Dump has always been the most viewed page of the website. It is both full of personal content from Kramer's life as well as his take, opinions, etc. about things from all over the World. Right now it will most likely not be "daily" due to a move, website overhaul, the live show, and other business that is taking up plenty of precious time. We have plans for a newsletter that will be emailed to you, should you sign up for it, that will let you know DAILY about updates both on the DAILY DUMP and other parts of the website as well. Come back soon for more information and a way to sign up. Also, we will archive at least 45 days of the DAILY DUMP at a time, so if you miss one, you'll have PLENTY of time to come and read what you missed.

Its no secret that I THOUROUGHLY ENJOY creating this website and updating it. Right? I mean, if you're someone who's been coming here for a while, you know how much I adore doing this. Its been a labor of love for a long time. When you DO work at something, its nice to see some results. Well, they're being seen and felt. HOLY CRAP!
I have NO IDEA how this came about. GOD OF RADIO had been down for about two months. The show hadn't been aired in almost THREE months. It was dead in the water. It came back online and it seems like when it came back up, someone hit a switch and ithas completely BLOWN UP! It's WILD. Here's the track of Alexa in the past few days. BTW, ALEXA.com ranks websites, their traffic, hits, etc.
THINK HARDER!

May 18th, SUNDAY - I was surprised that the site was even within the 1 millionth mark. At this
point, the site had been up whaty, 2 weeks?
(ABOVE)
May 19th, Monday - To my surprise, the site moved up within a day. In the past it would only fluctuate weekly. It moved up! Great.
(ABOVE)
May 20th, Tuesday - This is when I knew something was clicking. This was the highest this website has EVER been on Alexa.com - EVER. I was elated, surprised, but elated.
(ABOVE)
May 21st, Wednesday - I almost had an accident in my pants. Four consecutive days of upward movement on Alexa.com? ARE YOU KIDDING? We're in the top 350,000 websites in the WORLD? WTH? Awesome.
(ABOVE)
May 22nd, Thursday - ARE YOU _______ing KIDDING ME?? ANOTHER day upward and now we're closing in on the top 250,000 sites in the WORLD? In THREE WEEK, the site has moved the "3 mos. Change" portion of Alexa! In MY World, that's unHEARD of.
Since the site isn't 100%, I've been doing limited marketing with it. I wanted to wait until it was near completion before doing that so that when people came by, they'd have plenty to base a decision on - on whether or not they'd keep coming back. I suppose that decision is being made, clearly, based on the amount of viewers and the amount of, more importantly, RETURN viewers each day. By the way, let me say - I don't count Alexa as the "BE ALL" of web stats, but many companies base their online advertising on what that site says. Its kind of like Arbitron in the radio World. Arbitron sends out DIARIES which allow people to write down what radio stations they listen to and how often. The problem is, they send out only a small percentage of what a cities population is, and the ratings are 'condensed' into a piece of the pie which reflects a much larger scale.
In other words, if a city has a population of 1,000,000 - maybe 10,000 people or LESS (most likely) are responsible for being the 'voice' of what all 1,000,000 people listen to. Same principle here. Alexa is based on a certain browser which keeps data on what certain people browse on the net. After a certain time period, its all calculated into one sum which is then processed as IS. The people with that certain tool bar are the people responsible for data on Alexa in other words.
Many months ago I was looking at books in Borders books. I was searching for a book on marketing a website. I wound up buying the wrong one, but in that book, the author wrote about Alexa, the ranking, and what you should be making monetarily depending on what your ranking *IS*. He wrote that once you get to 100,000 in the 3 mos. Average, you should be making, quote, "BIG MONEY". He never put a dollar figure on what "BIG MONEY" means, but big money to me right now is about $5 an hour. HAHA!!!!
Seriously, what that tells me, or at least is STARTING to tell me is, advertising will be something soon WORTH doing here. THROWING THIS OUT THERE: If anyone wants to get some early, send me an email and we'll do something cheap to see how it works for you. I won't talk about business much on the DD, but I needed to do this one to show everyone that we're on a fast track to doing something very cool here!
It may be the mother of all doom and gloom gas price predictions: $12 for a gallon of gas is “inevitable.”
Robert Hirsch, Management Information Services Senior Energy Advisor, gave a dire warning about the potential future of gas prices on CNBC’s May 20 “Squawk Box”. He told host Becky Quick there was no single thing that would solve the problem, due to the enormity of the problem.
“[T]he prices that we’re paying at the pump today are, I think, going to be ‘the good old days,’ because others who watch this very closely forecast that we’re going to be hitting $12 and $15 per gallon,” Hirsch said. “And then, after that, when oil – world oil production goes into decline, we’re going to talk about rationing. In other words, not only are we going to be paying high prices and have considerable economic problems, but in addition to that, we’re not going to be able to get the fuel when we want it.”
Hirsch told the Business & Media Institute the $12-$15 a gallon wasn’t his prediction, but that he was citing Charles T. Maxwell, described as the “Dean of Oil Analysts” and the senior energy analyst at Weeden & Co. Still, Hirsch admitted the high price was inevitable in his view.
Gas prices in the St. Louis area went up to $3.77 yesterday. My prediction of a Tuesday spike was a day late, but I'm getting really good at knowing when and getting close to the "how much". Don't miss the show. BTW, today's show is at 3PM. Tomorrow's show is about radio. It will be a show for people that broadcast a talk show. If you want to learn something about radio in the year 2008 and not 19 - SEVENTY eight, I suggest you listen. If you're not a broadcaster (in any medium), you're still more than welcome to come on over. The conversation will be frank and open. Your calls are MORE than welcome.
